Thrifty Thursday Finds – Vintage Home Decor, Unique Gifts, Budget Friendly Treasures
Share
Today is Thrifty Thursday, and I’m sharing how thrifting has become a big part of not only my wardrobe, but also my home decor and gift-giving. While I love clothes, I’ve decorated much of my 100-year-old Buffalo home with thrifted treasures. Shopping secondhand isn’t just budget-friendly—it’s a way to find unique pieces with character, whether it’s for your home or thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts. I’ve been exploring not just local thrift stores like Goodwill and Savers, but also online options like Shop Goodwill, where you can bid on items and even pick them up locally to avoid shipping fees.

Amazing Finds from Across the Decades
Recently, I scored some amazing finds for between $9.99 and $12.99 each, spending only $80 in total. These included a true vintage 1930s artwork, silver-plated serving sets, a mid-century glass piece I might use for bracelets, a marble rolling pin for my daughter’s baking, and a charming Victoria Trading Company teapot and cup for my mom. Each item has its own story and charm, and I love that these purchases help support charities while adding style to my home. Even though I missed out on a mid-century beverage cart I had my eye on, the hunt led me to treasures I might not have found otherwise.
Thrifting has taught me to appreciate the uniqueness and history behind each piece. Sure, I still enjoy shopping at Target and buying new items now and then, but there’s something special about knowing no one else will have the exact same thing. Whether I’m setting a formal dinner table once a month or giving a gift, these thrifted finds spark conversation and add personality to my space. For me, the joy is in the mix—combining vintage, mid-century, and modern pieces to create a home that feels truly mine.
