It Was 30 Days of Gratitude and 30 Days of Joy

It Was 30 Days of Gratitude and 30 Days of Joy

My 30 days of gratitude have come to a close. Not really. I try to live in gratitude every day. I don't always succeed, if I am honest, but I do try.

The truth is that while I certainly have things I can complain about, some legitimate, my list of blessings is far longer. I could give you both lists, but what would be the point of that? It isn't that ignoring the difficulties is the solution. In fact, I am at this very moment being pestered by a sticky "n" key on my laptop. It has foiled my multiple times on this very post. I could say that "aargh" like everyone's favorite Charlie Brown has escaped my mouth, but it has been a little more along the lines of a PG-13 film.

Gratitude isn't for Perfection

Life is not perfect. It's not meant to be, Gratitude is about only having happy things for which to say "thank you". It is about finding your blessings among your struggles, your direction inside the headwinds, your truth inside all the confusion. Or in my case today, this post inside a lot of retyping due to missing " "s, I mean "n"s.

Finding my pebble of Joy

So, today's pebble is to find your gratitude in anything - the smallest of things (hence the name "the pebble"). I know for myself, it is in that gratitude, I find my joy.

So... what are you thankful for? What brings you JOY?

Here's where it all started.
