Winter is Always Followed by Spring

I am middle-aged. There is no way around it. In fact, if I do the math, I am on the dark side of middle. At 53, I would have to live to 106 to be at a midpoint, and while that is not an impossibility, it is not a probability. I do, however, plan on living well into my late 90s, so let's call it a range.

Looking at life, then, in quarters or better, seasons, I would say that puts me in early fall. Whatever season it is, I know this: 

Life can seem hard when you are in the middle of it. Double that when you are older, and too many voices are saying time is running out.

It’s simply not true. Every day offers a new chance, so be sure to take it.

Winters always become spring and you, too, will flower again.
