Who Needs Luck? Float of the Irish

Who Needs Luck? Float of the Irish

Finding family fun that makes everyone happy isn’t easy. That is especially so when you are addressing multiple generations. In our home, we have three.

We all love floats around this house, however, so I still stand by this family-style mocktail I created for St. Patrick’s Day a few years ago. Whether you like a cocktail or not, mocktails are always enjoyed, and this has been proven as a magically delicious choice. (yeah, yeah, yeah… groans accepted)

An extra benefit? If you are not wearing green, and you are anything like me, you’ll probably end up with some green on you afterwards. Any other messy eaters out there? Nobody? Just me? OOO-kay…

Any Age, Definitely Yum

Doesn’t matter. The point is that I love anything that will bring any of the generations around the table, even if for a moment. Time passes so quickly, sweet opportunities to gather, grab a drink, toast a tradition, and share a smile are not to be taken for granted.

Okay, maybe I waxed a little poetic there, but I have one kiddo in college, and the other is moving that way soon. I may be feeling a bit heady about the whole thing. The good news is, despite my big talk, as you saw in the video, it’s a small recipe designed for out-sized yum!

It’s an easy-peasy treat that is fun and perfect for parties.

Recipe

2 scoops Vanilla ice cream
Sprite
Green food coloring
Charms rainbow 🌈 lollipops

Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

An alternative not shown on video, but equally yummy if you enjoy mint:

2 scoops Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream

Sprite

(no food coloring necessary)

Charms rainbow 🌈 lollipops

P.S. This one grows up for adults very easily with a dash of creme de menthe and Irish creme. I mean, if that’s your thing. 😉

And for another St. Patty's cheer, say hi over here.
