Mental Health Day is for Everyone

Mental Health Day is for Everyone

It’s World Mental Health Day. Which means it’s a day for everyone.

Mental health is health.

It’s okay to not be okay.

Spiritual health while equally important, is separate.

There is no shame in being ill. Seeking help is as necessary as seeking insulin or chemotherapy. For some, it is life or death. When someone dies, they lost their battle to a brain disease, they did not make a moral choice.

There is no one in my home that doesn’t fight some level of mental illness whether it is generalized anxiety disorder , ocd , or ptsd. This includes me.

Whether it is you or someone you love (which is also me), you are not alone.

We get by with a little help from our friends.
